breifd.

Use case · Daily reading

One short brief, then you're done.

The internet rewards anxiety. We don't. Here's how people actually use breifd.it to stay informed without the ambient dread.

Most "news apps" are built to be addictive. Infinite scroll, push notifications, red badges. The point is to keep you inside the app. breifd.it is built the opposite way: the point is to get you out as fast as possible, well-informed and on with your day.

A typical morning

  1. Email arrives at 7am, local time.
  2. You read it in five minutes over coffee.
  3. You know the few things that actually happened yesterday.
  4. You close the tab. There's nothing else to do here.

Informed is a feeling. Anxious is a feeling. They are not the same feeling, and most "news" optimizes for the wrong one.
